Sunday front page after the 'Saturday Night Massacre'

President Richard Nixon axes Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy AG William Ruckelshaus after they refuse his order to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox, who was investigating Nixon's role in Watergate. The president eventually got Solicitor General Robert Bork, third in command at the Department of Justice, to fire Cox, who said to the press that night: "Whether ours shall continue to be a government of laws and not of men is now for Congress and ultimately the American people."
