Naperville sells furniture factory NAPERVILLE has been relieved of a "million-dollar albatross," officials said Wednesday after a developer bought a decaying furniture factory complex that the western suburb has owned since 1980. Naperville's plans to convert the vacant facility of the Kroehler Man ufacturing jo. into a city nail foundered because of the cost. ."Now instead of spending money on it, maybe we can collect some reve nue," said Craig Blomquist, assistant city manager. "It was a million-dollar albatross," he added, referring to the price the suburb paid for the land. Warren Loveland of La Crosse, Wis., bid $1.2 million for the 6.5-acre site and expects to spend $13 million to build a residential and cortmiercial complex. r
