Gene pans Dino De Laurentiis' remake of the 1937 disaster film classic and also dismisses the Italian sex comedy reviewed alongside that film. In the "Film Notes" section, Gene describes National Lampoon's intent to make a film parodying the JAWS series. Due to conflicts with the studio, that film ended up being rewritten as the far less satirical JAWS 3-D.
