Burial will be in B'nai Sholom Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Mrs. Flamm was born Oct. 26, 1927. She was the daughter of David and Rose Grossman.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her sister, Sue Grossman-Stevens of California. Lois was known for her cooking classes, community services, such as volunteering at the hospital. She was an active member of Sisterhood and had resided in the area for over 65 years. She will always be remembered for her generosity of spirit and her giving of strength and kindness to others even in her own time of need. Lois is survived by her husband, Irving; her children.

Walter A. Waltz, 73, of Schaumburg, a World War II Army veteran and mechanical engineer, died Saturday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Mr. Waltz, who was born in Chicago, served in the Mariana Islands during World War II. He worked as a mechanical engineer for the former Link Belt Power Transmission Co.

and as an estimating and layout engineer for Roberts and Schaefer engineers and contractors for coal preparation, both in Chicago. He retired in 1983. "'He was an avid golfer both here and in Florida where he wintered for 10 years," said his daughter, Marian Jaros. "Big Run was his favorite golf course," she said. "He loved the game." Waltz had also played semi-pro softball in Chicago and that he loved vegetable gardening. "He was a man with a great sense of humor," she said. "He was very people-oriented. He could talk to anyone, put anyone at ease. He had a lot of friends.

He got along with everyone of all ages." "He had the easiest golf swing you ever saw," said Barbara Klingbeil, co-chairman of the annual golf outing at Roberts and Schaefer. "He was a good golfer, but I hated to play in his foursome because he made you count every stroke." Klingbeil said Mr. Waltz returned for the company golf outing every year after his retirement.
