Dr. Hennan was a 21 year member of the American Legion Post in Chicago, IL and a 38 year member of the Elk Lodge in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Hennan graduated from the Culver Military Academy, attended the University of Chicago and graduated from St. Louis University Medical School, Class of 1942. He served on the staff of Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago and Christ Hospital of Evergreen Park, IL, was the longtime secretary of the Chicago Society of Industrial Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, American Medical Association, Illinois Medical Association, Chicago Medical Association, the DuBourg Society of St. Louis University and the St.

Louis University Medical School Alumni Association. Doctor Hennan Headed a private practice, Hennan Medical Group, in Chicago, retiring in 1992, Col. Hennan also served his country for 38 years in the US Army, as a surgeon in the 55th General Hospital, in Europe, during WWII and was activated with the 322nd Logistics Command Unit during the "Berlin Call-up. Colonel Hennan was a lifetime member of the Retired Officers Association and retired from the US Army Medical Corps. In 1992, Dr.

Hennan and his wife: Dorothy Hennan (nee Nelson) moved to Florida to enjoy their retirement. In 1991, he and his wife retired to Melbourne, FL. He is survived by his wife, Anne, nee Johnson; sons, Richard (Brenda) Hoskins and Lee (Sharon) Hoskins: grandchildren, Ashley Hoskins and Steven Hoskins; sisters, Jane Chagnow and O'Connor: and several nieces and nephsews. Citizen and lived most of his life in Chicago. He attended two years of college and had a variety of occupations including bartender, waiter and property manager, Rick died peacefully in his sleep. He lead a colorful life and his motto was "I did what I could while I could." He is remembered affectionately and missed by his brother, sister-in-law, two nieces, many cousins, aunts and uncles in the U.S., Germany and Poland and many devoted friends.
