The plane, with all ACTS TO SUE LT, KEEPS IT British Bride Leaves Baby and Goes to Reno rubuqu, March 12 (Spffial Th unn liorn hen 5 weeks ago to Mrs. Jinn Car- do British war bride who married one American army officer but subsequently flew to this country to join another, was reported "doing nicely" In the care of his grand-mother today while the former Jean Gloorof r. -v Mrs. Jean arhnnne London is attempting to get a di vorce in Reno, Nev. When Mrs.

Carbon ne arrived in Chicago by trans-Atlantic plane last December, she was met by Capt. Darrell Eeschen of the army air forces, whom she described as the father of the child she was ex-rectinjr. She said she hoped to marry Beschen as soon as she could divorce former Lt. Harold Carbonne, cf Rochester. N.

Y. ionf Two Week At Capt. Resclien's home here, where Mrs. Carbonne has been living with the captain's mother and sister, it was reported the war bride left for Reno two weeks ago. Her baby was then about 3 weeks old.

Capt Beschen is on active duty a Texas army air station. Since he came to Dubuque, Mrs. Carbonne has sought to avoid publicity and to keep her activities and movements fcecret. Birth of her baby was not revealed until days after its arrival, and her trip to Reno was not learned until today rrom came an announce ment today by Atty. John Robb Ciarke that Mrs.

Carbonne has established residence in Reno preparatory to the liling of a divorce suit against Carbonne. Six weeks residence is necessary. In Rochester, Atty. Melvin II. Zu-rett said he is representing Carbonne, now a student at the University of Rochester under the GI bill of rights, and that Carbonne will oppose a divorce action when and If it is filed.

Zurett said he has received a letter from Clarke stating Mrs. Carbonne "is desirous of a divorce" and has replied Carbonne "will not consent to a divorce and will oppose it." I la Religious Scruples Carbonne could not be located for a statement and at the university it was said he has not been attending classes the last two weeks. In answer to previous appeals by his wife for her freedom, Carbonne replied lie has religious scruples against dnorce and would take no initiative in the matter. Caibonne's attorney recently issued a statement denying a report attributed to Mrs. Carbonne in Dubuque that she had reimbursed her husband for S605 he sent her so she could fiy to this country- "She never returned a cent," Zurett said.

"She used Carbonne's money to fly here to meet Beschen. She had previously received other sums from Carbonne and with her army allotment from his pay obtained altogether about $1,700 from him."
