Conkey Mrs. Elizabeth W. Conkey, 92, formerly of the Edgewater Beach hotel, died yesterday in Mendota Community hospital, Mendota, III. She was the widow of H. D.

Conkey, founder of H. D. Conkey and Conco, industrial supply firms in Mendota. Mrs. Conkey was a director of the family companies until her death.

Surviving are a son, Robert; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the First Presbyterian church, Mendota. Raymond R.

Buhrke Services for Raymond R. Buhrke, 67, of Mercer, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in the chapel at 2000 E. Northwest highway, Arlington Heights.

He died Sunday in Oshkosh, Wis. Mr. Buhrke was a former Chicago fire department captain. He retired in 1948 after 23 years of service. He leaves his widow, Lillian; a daughter, Mrs.

Geraldine Airey; three grandchildren; two brothers and a sister. Samuel Phillips Services for Samuel Phillips, 55, of 1513 W. 79th will be held at 10 a. m. today in the chapel at 1300 Devon av.

Mr. Phillips, who for 28 years operated the Phillips Tog shoppe, 1513 W. 79th st, died Friday. Surviving are his widow, Freida; a daughter, Linda; a son, Elliott; and a brother. Dr.

George D. Upson Services for Dr. George D. Upson, 91, of 607 Washington Wilmette, a retired dentist, will be held at 1 p. m.

tomorrow in the First Congregational church, 1125 Wilmette Wilmette. Dr. Upson died Saturday in Evanston hospital. He retired in 1951 after practicing dentistry for 50 years. An 1899 graduate of Northwestern university school of dentistry, he was a member of the Chicago Dental society, the Illinois Dental society, and the American Dental association.

Surviving are his widow, Louise; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Carpenter; and four grandchildren. George E. Hlnchcliff Private services for George E. Hinchcliff, 77, formerly of Chicago, will be held today in Clearwater, Fla.

Mr. Hinchcliff, a retired salesman for the Johns Manville company in Chicago for 35 years, died Saturday in Clearwater, where he made his home for the last 13 years. Surviving are his widow, Louise; a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert E. Saunders; three grandchildren; and a sister.

Benjamin Gershon Benjamin Gershon, 70, of 7259 Oglesby founder and president of the Phoenix Table Mat company, 1718 E. 75th st, died yesterday in Michael Reese hospital. Mr. Gershon was associated with the firm for more than 50 years. Services will be held at 1 p.

Dora Fisher, 80, of 1617 E. 50th pL, died yesterday at home. She was the widow of George Fisher, a florist, who died in 1951, and a life member of Infant's Aid. She is survived by two sons, William and Herbert; a daughter, Mrs. Myra Gold; nine grandchildren; and two sisters.

Meigs was active in newspaper publishing. He was formerly head of the Chicago Aeronautics commission, and advocated a lakefront airport. Meigs field was named for him in 1949. He also was an aviation adviser to the federal government for several years. The honorary pallbearers are George W.

Keegan Grazian Was Going 30 m.p.h., Witnesses Say Jerome Ruvalcaba, 32, of 2347 Iowa was killed yesterday when the auto he was driving crashed into the center post of a viaduct at Chicago and Ken-ton avenues. Witnesses said Ruvalcaba was eastbound in Chicago and was traveling about 30 miles per hour when the accident occurred. He was alone. Mrs.

Betty Jane Kren, 40, of 1407 Burry Joliet, died yesterday when a car driven by her husband, Laverne, 45, was struck by another in front of 503 N. Larkin Joliet. Children Slightly Hart Slightly injured in the accident were the couple's three children, Joy, 12; John, 11; and Joseph, and a friend, Vicki Bertino, 11, of 1110 Winthrop Joliet. John M. of Minooka, Grundy county, driver of the other auto, was treated for cuts and bruises. He was charged with improper lane usage, and driving too fast for conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Will county Circuit court in Joliet on Feb. 8. Charles Klavuhn.

60, of 5751 Melton Portage, died in Roseland hospital last night from injuries suffered in an auto accident Saturday in the Dan Ryan expressway at 99th street. Klavuhn's southbound auto smashed against a concrete divider. Collides with Truck Richard Bonadies, 21, of Nut-ley, N. was killed yesterday when the car he was driving collided with a trailer truck in U. S.

highway 41 in St John, Lake county, Ind. The accident occurred as the truck, driven by George Grave-man, Coleman, was coming out of a driveway near Schmal street in St. John, police said. Deloss Brenneman, 52 and his wife Hortense, 51, of the Cleveland suburb of Rocky River, were killed yesterday when their auto ran into the side of a freight train engine in the fog on U. S.

highway 421, one mile south of Wanatah, La Porte county, Ind. Joseph Stanley Abrahamson, 23, and Michael A. Le Baron, 22, both of Waukegan, and Mrs. John Koch of Ironwood, were killed Saturday in a head-on collision on U. S.

28 Searchers probed for bodies today in the heavy wet snow that cascaded down Alpine slopes in Switzerland and Austria yesterday sweeping away chalets and barns and blocking roads.
