DONAIIEY, TEENIE WEENIE CREATOR, DIES Drew Syndicated Strip for 55 Years William' Donahey, 86, who for more than half a century, brought to children news of a world they could best understand, the tiny world of the Teenie Weenies comic strip, died yesterday in Michael Reese hospital. As a child who had to sit thru many dinner parties given by his parents and was continually told to sit and behave, Mr. Donahey put his imagination to work to create for him a world of small people full of mischief and frolic. That world for him, as a child, centered on a roomful of discarded screws which served as toy soldiers. Started as Illustrator These characters took on new names, the Dunce and Mr.

Chinaman, that in 1914 be shown to millions of children thruout the world in his cartoon strip, Weenies. The son of a well-to-do cattle raiser in New Philadelphia, 0., "Mr. Donahey began his career as an illustrator for the Cleve- George P. White Mass for George P. White, 80, co-founder of the White Cap company, 1819 N.

Major manufacturer of metal caps for glass food containers, will be said at -10 a. m. Wednesday in St. Francis, Xavier's Catholic church, 900 Linden Wil-mette. Mr.

White lived at 1410 Sheridan Wilmette. He died Saturday in St. Francis hospital, Evanston: In 1956 he retired as chairman of the board of the company shortly before it was sold to the Continental Can company. Mr. White is survived by his widow, Elsie; a daughter, Nancy; a son, James; one sister, Mother Mary Oliver, of the Ladies of Loretto; and two brothers, Philip and -William P.

Edmund J. Claussen Services for Edmund J. Claussen, 85, a former vice president and secretary of Continental Illinois National Bank Trust company of Chicago, will be held at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow in the chapel at 1567 Maple Evanston.

Mr. Claussen died Saturday in his home at 3207 Central Evanston. He was with the bank for 40 years before retiring in 1947. After his retirement he was a representative for Investors Diversified services, 105 Adams st. Surviving are a son, Edward four grandchildren; and a brother.

Loren Dana Sayre Services for Dr. Loren Dana Sayre, 79, a former Northwestern university dental professor, will be held at 10:30 a. m. tomorrow in the chapel at Lake street and East avenue, Oak Park. Dr.

Sayre died Saturday in his home at 925 Ontario Oak Park. He began teaching at Northwestern in 1915. In 1923, he was made head of the crown and bridge department at the dental school, a post he held until his retirement. His dental office was at 30 N. Michigan av.
