Weir, 97, a retired vice president and senior merchandising consultant of Carson Pirie Scott died Sunday in Plymouth, it was learned yesterday. Robert Saputo, 8048 Keating in the suburb, was hit by a car as he crossed Oakton Street and Knox Avenue shortly after a crossing guard hired by the Skokie Park District to patrol the intersection went off duty, according to Mayor Albert J. Smith, who said the village is moving at full speed to install traffic signals at the intersection.
