Beach, a colleague of Marconi and Edison and one of the first super-salesmen of electricity, died today at the 3ge of SS. Beach, born at Linden, went to night school and by day worked as blacksmith, lie helped develop an arc light and several years later became associated Miith Thomas Alva Edison, ho already had invented the incandescent lamp. Ceorge J. Kilgore New York City, April 24 Special George J. Kilgore, 59, representative of The American Weekly, died here yesterday.

Kilgore, a native of Chicago, graduated from St. Ignatius college in 1922. He leaves his widow, Helene Lau-rencelie, and a daughter, Therese. RADIO PIONEER, HAYWIRE MAC, IS DEAD AT 74 San Francisco, April 24 LP Harry K. Haywire Mac Mc- Clintock, pioneer of western radio and leader of one of the first cowboy bands, died today.

He was 74. MeClintock wrote many song hits before he retired in 1952, including "Big Rock Candy Mountain," The Bum Song," and "The Bum Song No. 2," Halielulia I'm a Bum Fireman. Save My Child," Fifty Years from Now," Lonesome Trail." If I Had My Druthers." The Hobo Spring Song," "The Whistle," "Over the Radio," and "Midnight on the Ocean. -His colorful career spanned the world.

He made radio's Time" with his "Haywire Orchestry," and played with the once-famous Blue ilonday Jamboree. Born in Knoxville, he went to Africa and worked cn railroads in Khodesia. He got into action in the Philippines as a civilian mule train packer supplying the troops with food and ammunition.

ADM. MORAN, 63, 'a at iv nr Rear Adm. Edward J. Mo- ran, 63, retired, a native Chi- cagoan, who was the commander of the light cruiser Boise in a night battle off Savo island in the Solomons which cost the Japanese six warships in 1942, died Saturday in Paris, friends here were advised yesteriay. Adm.

Moran and his second wife, the former Mrs. Jean Sands of San Francisco, whom he married in 1951, in Paris on a tour of Europe. He had been living in San Francisco since his retirement in 1947. His first wife died in 1S40. Adm.

Moran attended Crane Technical High school and the University of Illinois and was a 1917 graduate of the United States naval academy.
