This was the conclusion of exhibitors and officials of the Chicago Association of Commerce, the fair's sponsor. They said they were enthusiastic over the response from professional buyers and the public.

The fair established several re cords, officials said. There were 29,987 registered buyers, many from foreign countries, who placed millions of dollars in business with both foreign and United States firms. Final figures, it was said, will not be available for several weeks, but virtually all pavilion directors announced their intention of returning for the 1962 Chicago International Trade fair. 650,000 Attend Thru last night, 630,610 per sons paid admissions to the fair. The figure is far ahead of last year's attendance of at Navy Pier.

It also is a record for paid admissions to any event in McCormick Flace. Chicago merchants have signed thousands of new cus-, tomers from foreign nations, and in return the foreign goods were snown to tens ot tnou-, sands of Americans." said Thomas H. Coulter, chief executive officer of the commerce association. Ralph Bergsten, the fair's managing director said he be- lieved the fair had established Chicago as the most important market place in the Western Hemisphere for manufacturers. service organizations, and buy ers.

We could have done this only in McCormick Place," he added. 178.000 Workers Involved Frank J. Sokolowski tSokol. late of 6248 S. Normandy avenue, beloved husband of Julia, nee Bcblo: dear father nf Jack and Meianie: father-in law of Adrienne; fond brother of Mi chael.
