Salins, who lived at 8723 National Niles, died in American hospital Monday of a heart attack. He served with the army in the Pacific in World War II. He is survived by his widow, Pauline; a daughter, Mrs. Inez Bayes; a son, Michael his mother, Mrs. Anne Salins; a brother, and two sisters.

Benjamin Sher Benjamin Sher, 67, died yesterday in the nursing home at 6700 N. Damen where he had lived for the last five months. Mr. Sher, a tailor, owned a shop at 721 Kedzie av. for 25 years until 1945.

Sur and moved it to Chicago in 1839. Mr. Kirk began working in the soap business in 1893. Company Is Sold The company was sold to Procter Gamble Co. in 1930.

After the sale Mr. Kirk began another firm, the Kirk Soap company. It was later moved to the north bank of the Chicago river, just east of the Michigan avenue bridge, where it was destroyed in the Chicago fire of 1871 and again in a fire in 1895. Mr. Kirk was an 1894 graduate of Harvard university. He is survived by his widow. Irene, and a daughter, Mrs.
