a 10 Section 2 CHICAGO TRIBUNE, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1966 32 ARE INJURED IN GARY WHEN 2 BUSES CRASH Driver Says Brakes Failed to Work A chartered bus crashed into the rear of a Gary transit company bus yesterday in 4th avenue at Tyler street in Gary, injuring the drivers and 30 passengers. Police said Gerald T. Glenn, 22, 0 of 4753 Ash Hammond, driver of a chartered bus of the Chicago-Calumet District Transit company which was transporting Gary workers to a Chi- 306 Chicago's DEAD, 1966 Traffic Toll 38,786 INJURED TI cago mail order house, told them the brakes on his bus failed when he tried to stop it. The driver of the Gary transit bus was Harold L. Jones, 29, of 857 Charles Hawkins Gary.

He had stopped to discharge a passenger. Falls to Death All of the injured were treated and released from Gary and East Chicago hospitals except Mrs. Lucille Lawler, 49, of 1516 Delaware Gary, who remained as a patient. Glenn was charged with following too closely. Kenneth J.

Bronson, 43, of 13021 Hoyne Blue Island, was killed early yesterday when he fell 125 feet to the ground from the cab of his truck in the Chicago Skyway after an accident. Police sald Bronson apparently suffered a heart attack, lost control of his truck, and it struck two cars, injuring five passengers. Bronson apparently was returning the cab to the A. C. E.

Freight Line, 202 112th Hammond, where he worked. The two cars contained employes of the Canton Courier, a weekly Ohlo newspaper. The accident happened at 101st street. 2 Killed by Car Eric Kriens, 65, of 353 Dickens Northlake, died last night in Northlake hospital two hours after he and his wife were struck by an auto in U. S.

highway 45, north of Armitage ave- nue in Proviso township. Mrs. Kriens is in critical condition at the hospital. State police said the couple was crossing the highway when they were hit by a southbound auto driven by Janyce L. Sorrisso, 22, of 2801 St.

Charles Bellwood. Michael Delorto, 72, of 920 S. Leavitt died yesterday in Mother Cabrini hospital from injuries when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist Nov. 27 at 5100 S. Western av.

Delorto worked part time for the board of election commissioners. He is survived by a son, Frederick, 49, and two daughters, Mrs. Antoinette Mangano, and Mrs. Della Backouirs. ROB PAY TRUCK OF THREE ARE ARRESTED Indianapolis, Dec.

9 (-Two men and a woman were arrested today a half after four young men fled with $22,000 being delivered by an armored truck to a saloon for the cashing of pay checks. Virgil Watts, 56, Indianapolis, driver of the truck, said one of the men pointed a gun at him and a co-worker, grabbed a bag containing the money, and fled with the three other men. Police stopped John Martin Young, 37, and Swayzee, 34, in a car at an intersection and charged them. with robbery and auto theft. Mary Saum, 21, was arrested at a home area and charged with robbery.
