Mr. Schneider, a foreign, service officer for 19 years with the state department, was stricken two days before he was to leave Africa, for home and reassignment. He did graduate study at Northwestern university in 1957-58, when he and his family lived in Northfield. He is survived by his widow, Beverly; three daughters, Susan, Patricia, and Deborah; a son, Stewart; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Kittle died Friday in San Francisco where she had gone to attend the Republican national convention. Her husband, Charles died at the age of 47 in 1928, four years after he was elected president of Sears. Mrs. Kittle was the founder and an honorary chairman of the women's board of the Chicago Boys clubs.
