123456 TRIBUNE 9 SPORTS PREPS PLUS It took high-powered Lockport a little more than a half to get accustomed to the high winds and lousy field conditions of SICA Blue showdown against host Lincoln-Way Central. Crete-Monee. 11. Morris A hawkish defense and powerful wind gusts proved key in 47-20 victory at Riverside-Brookfield. The Redskins scored twice on defensive fumble recoveries in the first half of the Suburban Prairie White contest as the weather limited the effectiveness of either team passing the ball. 15. Prospect Jared Dall completed 14-of-17 passes for 284 yards and tossed two touchdowns to Nick Iovino as the Knights (5-1, 1-1) blew out Elk Grove 35-0 in the Mid-Suburban East. Bryon Gattasran for 164 yards on 18 carries and scored on a 12-yard run for Prospect. Up next Friday at home vs. Hersey.

16. Bolingbrook The Raiders (6-0, 4-0) defeated Bradley-Bourbonnais 27-7 in the SICA Gray as A.J. Johnson rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries. David 12 tackles and Martell two sacks led defense, which held Bradley to 168 yards. kept us in it Johnson said.

TOP 20 RECAP ALOOK AT THE TEAMS THAT PLAYED FRIDAY Lockport tops Lincoln-Way C. It may have been homecoming for Thornton Fractional North, but it was Rich Central that was having all the fun. Led by running backs Sergon Ayeni and Victor Boles, Rich Central cruised to a 43-14 win Friday night in Calumet City. Ayeni, who finished with 184 yards on 21carries and four touchdowns, scored on the first play from scrimmage on an 80- yard run. Boles finished with 197 yards on 25 carries and two scores.

Crystal Lake South 25, Dundee- Crown 0: Kevin Brockway threw touchdown passes to Kevin Choklad and David Atkinson as the Gators (6-0, 6-0) breezed in the Fox Valley. Curie 19, Young 12: Eric 181yards rushing and two first- quarter touchdown runs lifted Curie (3-3, 2-1) in the Illini Red Bird. Lance Akers caught a 10- yard TD pass from Jeff Hall to pull Young (4-2, 2-1) within 13-12 in the fourth quarter, but Lawon Williams returned his second interception of the game 73 yards for a touchdown to seal the win.

De La Salle 19, Brother Rice 12: Brother Rice (4-2, 1-2) led 12-0 in the second quarter before Peter Balsara sparked a De La Salle comeback with a 28-yard touchdown reception from Shedrick Mossman late in the first half. Cozzi finished with 24 carries for 166 yards and has scored nine touchdowns in his last three games.

Streamwood (3-3, 1-3) managed 220 yards offense but get into the end zone. Stagg 21, Romeoville 7: Dave Mordis had touchdown runs of 70 and 10 yards as Stagg (4-2, 3-1) scored 21unanswered points in the second half to win in the SICA Gray. Thornton 18, Bloom 0: Thornton (4-2, 2-2) scored its first touchdown with 2:07 left in the second quarter on a 1-yard run by Ismail Ali, and William Sutton followed 38 seconds later with a TD on a 41-yard interception return.
