16, 1914 in Medicine Hat, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to John and Ann, nee Wallen, Fernstrom. He married Josephine Ann Walther on Nov. 25, 1937 in Chicago. He received a of Metallurgy from the Illinois Technical Institute. He was employed as an engineer at Barrett-Cravens a material handling lift truck manufacturing facility where he rose to the position of Senior Vice-President by the end of his 50 year career.

He then was President of "Fernstrom a warehouse consulting firm until 1987 when son Richard Laurence assumed control. Henry also helped create the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce and served as its President for a number of years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; his brother, Harold Fernstrom; and his sister, Lillian Vivian. He is survived by four sons, Henry Allen and wife, Kate of Seattle, WA, Richard Laurence and wife, Linda of Northbrook, IL, Gregory Charles of Cary, IL and Thomas John and wife, Patricia of Cary, IL; plus 11 grandchildren, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.

until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at St. Norbert Parish, 1809 Walters Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062. Interment will be at St.

Gordon Roger Worley, passed away peacefully on Sept. 28. Born Oct. 13, 1919 to Zella and Carl Worley, the second of the six children. He earned a BS from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Northwestern University.

He was a CPA. After 3 years serving in the US Army Air Corps during WW II, Mr. Worley began working as an auditor at Aldens, a Chicago mail order company. He was an acclaimed pioneer in the field of credit scoring and retail credit. In 1967 he joined Montgomery Ward as Treasurer and became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer before his retirement in 1983.

He and Robert Brooker initiated the merger of Container Corp. and Wards to form Marcor, Inc. Mr. Worley was known as a generous mentor to younger executives, several of whom became financial officers of major corporations. After retirement Mr.

Worley continued to serve as a director of several corporations and not-for-profit organizations. He was a director of Illinois Power American Management Axia, the Stein Roe family of mutual funds, Marcor, Inc. and Montgomery Ward. He was a Life Trustee of Northwestern Memorial Hospital; a Life Trustee of Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary where he received an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree; a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, he was a Life Trustee of the Aid Society of the First United Methodist Church of Chicago. In 1975 he was appointed to the National Commission on Electronic Funds Transfer by President Gerald Ford.

He served for 2 years and worked towards the introduction of debit cards and checkless society. Illinois Governor Dan Walker appointed him to the Illinois Capital Development Board where he served for 2 years. Mr. Worley was preceded in death by his son, Philip. He is survived by Geneva, his wife of 67 years; sons, Alan, Mark (Joyce) and grandchildren, Spencer (Lauren) and Christine Worley.
