7 CHICAGO TRIBUNE METRO SECTION2 CASSERLY, JAMES ARTHUR James Arthur Casserly, age 77, a resident of Marco Island, FL since 1999, passed away on June 6, 2008 at Naples Community Hospital. A native of Chicago, he grew up in Oak Park, IL and raised his family in Des Plaines, IL. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Alyce Casserly; and three children, Geralynn Casserly of Mundelein, IL, Dr. James (Kimmy) Casserly, DVM of Watertown, WI and John Casserly of Chicago. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen, nee Quan; siblings, Marilyn Young, George Casserly and his twin, John Casserly; and parents, Dr.

George Casserly, DDS and Marion Casserly, nee Theriault. A longtime plumbing contractor in the Chicago area, he "semi-retired" to his second home in Marco, where he enjoyed working as a contractor specialist meeting island residents at the local hardware store. Services will be held at St. Catholic Church in Libertyville, IL, at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, July 12.

She resided in Chicago until she moved to Westminster Village in 1999. She is survived by children Frances Ann, James, Mary Ellen (John) Butler and Robert Kevin, grandchildren, Mary Frances (Scott) Dinsdale, Christopher Policastro, Michael (Danele) Butler, Amanda (Gabriel) Rodriguez, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin Leo Oberto, age 79, loving husband, father, musician, executive and hobbyist, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 following a long illness. Born in Grand Junction, Colorado on Christmas Day, 1928, he graduated from Mesa High School in 1946 and joined the Navy where he served for two years as an instructor at Great Lakes Naval Station. Mr. Oberto attended Mesa College for two years and continued his education at the University of Colorado where he studied applied physics and worked for Ball Brothers Research contributing to the early days of the modern rocketry program.

In Boulder, he met and married his wife of 54 years, Annette Burgess in August of 1953. Among his many accomplishments include serving as President of Burgess Vibrocrafters Incorporated of Grayslake, IL, President of the Lake County Health Department for several years in the 1970s. In 1981he had retired from corporate life. He became a computer hobbyist, writing custom software and dabbling in running a retail computer store. By 1990, he had completely retired and enjoyed working in his woodshop and playing golf.

Edwin and Annette moved to Lake Geneva, WI in 2000. He is surived by his wife Annette, of Lake Geneva; four "highly satisfactory" children, a daughter, Tenney Oberto; 3 sons, Peter (Joan Kruse), Leo Kathleen Koerner) and Joseph (Kendall); 2 grandchildren, Casey Edwin Oberto and Charles Franklin Oberto; a sister, Nadine (Peggy) Lippoth of Grand Junction, CO. He his preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Service will be held at Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Christ Episcopal Church of Delavan with Fr. William Myrick officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until at the Church in Delavan. Burial will be at the Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church of Delavan, 503 E. Walworth Delavan, WI 53115. Monroe Funeral Home Delavan, is assisting the family.

Diana was born to Joseph and Mary (Sandretto) Lizzadro on September 28, 1934 in Chicago, IL. Diana lived in Elmhurst, IL and summered near Gratiot Lake at Lizzadro Farm in Keweenaw County, MI most of her life. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and High School and graduated in 1952.

Diana attended Northwestern University, Rosary College and University of Wisconsin Madison where she met her husband George F. Nicholas. They married on October 6, 1956 and had six children, Gina, Joe, George, Frank, John and Andrea. After raising her family Diana completed her college education and graduated from Elmhurst College with a B.S. in Business in 1986.

Diana was a patroness of the Arts. She worked for and served on the Board of the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art founded by her father Joseph Lizzadro. Diana was instrumental in the creation of and fundraising for the Elmhurst Art Museum and was an Honorary Board Member. She participated in Elmhurst Theater, Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, Pine Mountain Music Festival, College of DuPage Performing Arts Center and many other art and cultural organizations. The YWCA of DuPage County recognized Diana as the Outstanding Woman Leader for Arts and Culture in 1995.

The City of Elmhurst proclaimed October 2, 2005 as Diana Nicholas Day. Many friends and relatives appreciated intelligence, talent, style and wit. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed forever by her six children and eleven grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Gina (Rex Wilson) Nicholas, Joe Nicholas, George (Lynlee) Nicholas, Frank (Pearl) Nicholas, John (Sonja) Nicholas and Andrea (Greg Martz) Nicholas and grandchildren: Nicholas Wilson, George Nicholas, Frank, Julia, Eric, Anthony and Amanda Nicholas, John, Alexandra and Michael Nicholas and Isabella Villano. Also surviving are sisters Angela (Chuck) Anderson and Bonnie (Jim) Hay and brothers Joe (Carol) Lizzadro and John (Reva) Lizzadro and Aunts Teresa Barber, Ann Locatelli and Katherine Brunner and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Lizzadro and her sister Terese Lizzadro. Memorial Visitation will be held at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. She graduated from Iowa State College then moved to Chicago where she met and married John Frederick Walter while working at Universal Oil Products. She was an avid sports fan who rooted for the Chicago Bulls, Bears and Cubs, and continued active membership in the sorority Kappa Delta Alumnae Association and The Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Walter was also a member of the Infant Welfare organization when it started the popular use of lumina- rias in Clarendon Hills. She is survived by her children, Jean (David) Long, John Walter, Barbara Walter (Michael Hattala) and Chuck (Cookie) Walter; and grandchildren, Kristin, Georgia, Charlie and Lee Walter, and Jonathan Long.
