Died peacefully in her sleep on July7, 2006, at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facilityin Naperville. She was 81 years old.

Her beautiful smile, lively spirit and warm heart will be missed by all who knew her. He was born February 26, 1921 in Elgin, Illinois and grew up in Winnetka. Graduating from New Trier High School in 1938, he attended the Sorbonne in Paris for his first year of college and returned to study at University of Chicago and Northwestern.

Immediately after Pearl Harbor he enlisted in the Army Air Core and served throughout World War II asa bombardier. He and his wife of 63 yearsVir- ginia (Ginnie) Dietz were married on October 20, 1943 in Boise Idaho. After the war theyset- tled in the northern suburbs of Chicago.They were long time residents of Lake Bluff, where they raised their three children.He worked in advertising for newspapers and agenciesfor many years and finished his career working for Chicago Title and Trust retiring in 1986. In retirement he enjoyed doing in-depth genealogical research and extensive travels throughout the United States and Canada with Ginnie. They moved to a home in the Port Barrington area in 1989.

Glid had a special way of lighting up a room with his gentle wit and quiet humor; he will be missed by those who knew him. He was born July 15, 1918 in North Chicago and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United State Army. Joe was employed as an EEG Electronic Technicianof the Psychology Research Laboratory at the VA Medical Center in North Chicago and worked with Baret College to develop a research instrument that measures six differend physiological reactions at the same time. He was a member of the North Chicago American Legion, PLAV, Holy Name Society and thePNA. He also loved electronics and photography. Survivors include two brothers, Aloysius and Frank Fritz Konieczny, both of North Chicago and one sister, Jean Sulentic of Waukegan as well as many nieces, nephews andgrand- nieces and nephews.

Theresa died peacefully in the Frankln Park home that she and her husband, the late Richard Pahomi, had created fifty years ago. She was surrounded by the children and grandchildren whose lives are forever improved as a result of Theresa selfless dedication to her family, friends, and others.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Raymond) Bernero, and their three children, Alison, Nicholas and Alex; her son, Rick (Cindi) Pahomi, and their three daughters, Andrea, Jessica and Erin; her daughter Laura (Steve) Koestler, and their two sons, Michael and Jack; and her brother William Koller. In heaven, Theresa is reunited with her youngest late Michael Pahomi. His sudden death seventeen years ago left Theresa heartbroken. Despite her great loss, Theresa continued to focus on helping others. She sacrificed her time and energy to help her children in raising their own families.

She retired from the workplace to devote her full attention to her grandchildren. Theresa was no ordinary grandmother; she was Super-Granny When her children married, Theresa welcomed their spouses into her family and treated them as though they were her own flesh and blood. While she spent little time or resources onher own comforts, Theresa showered her family with love, affection, and support. As others around her grew ill and closer to became caregiver to her sister-in-law, Noreen, her mother-in-law, Nora, her best friend, Gay Sliwinski, and her Despite her own ongoing battle with cancer, Theresa chose to devote her efforts on her daughter Carrie own fight with the disease.
