Recently he was voted one of the top 50 basketball players of Chicago. He was Far-Eastern Champion Coach under General Trudeau, a past Golf Champion at Medinah Country Club and an avid golf enthusiast. 1951-1952 he became a Professional NBA Player of the Syracuse Nationals. Oley insatiable curiosity led toworldwide travels where he never met a stranger. One of his cats received the highest national ranking of any Maine Coon cat in the Cat Fancier Association.

Tom also enjoyed restoring classic automobiles, was a beekeeper, and an avid photographer. He was an extremely intelligent person with a vast knowledge of many subjects.
