JAN E. Dr. Jan E. Metz, died suddenly at his home in Chicago on July 10, 2005. Dr.

Metz was born on Staten Island, NY in 1953. He attended Port Richmond High School where he was known for his cat-quick abilities as a quarterback. Dr. Metz graduated from Ross Universit School of Medicine in 1984 and joined Quinc Family Practice in Quincy, IL in 1988. In 1992, he became part of the emergency centerstaf at Blessing Hospice in Quincy.

Dr. Metz medical interests enabled him to be instrumentalin a Pediatric Community Outreach Program, the establishment of an air ambulance service and resident training at S.I.U./Q.F.P. At the time his death, Dr. Metz was a full-time facult member at the City Colleges of Physician Assistant program. He was enagaged in Cultural Diversity education and was active in the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center.

Survivors include: his wife, Donna; his mother Zenobia Cookie Metz; Sisters Roberta and Marilyn; Brother Robert and several nieces, nephews and many lovingfriends.
