BY KAREN TORNBERG arianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital An East Aurora High School teacher recently has been named to the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Track Field Team. With the sponsorship of Mari- anjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, wheelchair racer Tony Iniguez will head to Beijing later this month to prepare for a race at the 2008 Para- lympic Games that run from Sept. 6 through Sept. 17.

Iniguez, 37, has taught art at East Aurora High School for 14 years. Boilingbrook resident recently received the Impacting the Community Th rough Education Award from the East Aurora Board of Education. Triblocal.com staff reporter Hal Chiodo has buckled down for his fi rst season as the head coach of the West Chicago Community High School football team. But he is not the only new face on the coaching sta When Chiodo joined the sta une 17 he said there were varsity assistant coaches and one sophomore Now that the head coach has a full sta he feels like the group is beginning to gel. ey have been very helpful to Chiodo said. But while he is new to Community High School Chiodo is not new to coaching football. is is my 19th year as a head coach, my 28th year of coaching he said as his team continues to prepare for the season.

Chiodo seemed thankful that he and his recently assembled sta have a group of returning to the squad this year. Also, the returning quarterback, A.J. Romanelli is excellent according to Chiodo. have been pleased with what he has done this he said. For the rest of the squad Chiodo pointed to at the running back and defensive back positions and room for improvement on his ensive and defensive lines.

As a veteran coach in Illinois high schools, Chiodo said the of competition in the will be a chal- lenge. He hopes that his sta and team will be able to rise to that challenge.
