He retired an engineer from GTE in 1986. A Wood Dale resident of 30 years, he was born in the Ukraine and came to America with his wife and daughter in 1956. He was a survivor of both Nazi and Communist oppression after enslavement and escape from both. Anatol is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Josiane; daughter Nadege (Thomas) Priscol of Geneva; and grandson Alexi.

Dennis A. Denny was a very talented pianist, singer and composer who was known for his hat and million dollar smile. As a recording artist he had two "Songs in Black and White" and "Tornadoes and Dreams." He was the keyboard player for a Chicago band called De- luxury which had six cds to its credit. Dennis also played along side The Beach Boys, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bo Diddley, Buddy Rich, Muddy Waters, Paul Schaffer just to name a few.

He also was a member of four other bands Buddy, out Rage, Bosco Stich and Freeze. Freeze played with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page at the Snuggery. Sign Guestbook at chicagotribune.com/obituaries CRIST, THERESA MARIE Theresa Marie Crist, nee Cree gallant fight with ovarian cancer ended on June 12th and she entered into eternal life with her Lord. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 28th, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Willow Creek Community Church, in Barrington, IL, to remember ten year struggle against this disease which was was met with grace, determination, and a courage that inspired and encouraged others to find meaning in life as she continued to do in spite of and over the course of her disease.

She never gave up as an advocate for herself, or for her "sisters" in the disease. She was a founding member of Wellness Place in Palatine, Illinois serving on the board of directors and as a tireless volunteer. Her steadfast commitment to Wellness Place and to making a difference in the fight against cancer was recognized when she was rewarded as Outstanding Volunteer of 2001, and again on July 24, 2006, when she received the Pat and Vince Foglia Award for Commitment and Loyalty. She was also active in the local Palatine Ovarian Cancer Association and participated each summer in a wilderness retreat at Camp-Mak-A- Dream in Gold Creek, Montana for women with ovarian cancer. Terrie was born on March 11, 1944, in Chicago to Luther "Luke" Cree and the late Marian Cree, nee Snyder.

She grew up in Villa Park and was a graduate of Willowbrook High School. She was also a graduate of the University of Illinois-Champaign with a Batchelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN); making possible her life long ambition of becoming a Registered Nurse. In addition, she later completed her Masters Degree in Nursing Administration at DePaul. She worked in a variety of nursing capacities over the years, but worked exclusively for over 20 years as a home care provider and administrator both in the Chicago area and in Cincinnati, Ohio. When not in service to others, she enjoyed reading and needlework, and she loved and cherished her many cats, but, most of all, Terrie held dear the time she spent with her family and friends; cherishing their company at movies dinner; lawn dates at Ravinia; or vacations all over the world.

She loved to travel and did so extensively in spite of her struggle with cancer. Terrie was the beloved wife of Joseph Crist whom she married on June 22, 1984; devoted mother of Adam and Justin Kaleta; loving daughter of Luther (Phyllis) Cree of Logansport, Indiana; loving sister of Nancy (Ken) Gross of Ft. Worth, Texas; loving aunt to Matthew Gross of Chicago; and Jessica (Jared) Doss of Saginaw, Texas; and a loyal and trusted friend to many. Constance Hatch, WAC captain, business owner, professor of English literature, and widow of author Eric Hatch, My Man Godfrey Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit, died Wednesday in her Hyde Park apartment. Connie was born in 1920. Graduated from Northwestern University, Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in journalism. In 1941, she enlisted in the Army Corps (WACs), where she swiftly rose to Captain. When her sons were grown, Connie acquired a degree in English from Trinity College in Connecticut.

She taught for a number of years at the University of Connecticut branch in Torrington, CT. In 1973, Connie returned to Chicago, where she became a fixture in the Hyde Park area. Active in rights, food programs for the homeless, and other causes, she was a vigorous defender of individual rights and of the need for state fairness to all people. Connie is survived by her older son, Eric K. Hatch, and by three grandchildren.

She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Geography, at the University of Chicago in 1961. She was a member of the Retired Principles Association and The Prairie Club.

She served in with the Army Air Corps, during WW II, as a photo and radar interpreter, achieving the rank of Captain. She retired from Chicago Public School System in 1979, after 38 years, having last served as principal of Gompers School. Elise was an avid reader from childhood throughout her adult years. She enjoyed crafts, music, and teaching the deaf and hard-of-hearing. She and her sister Laura loved traveling together over the years.

Elise was previously a resident of Chicago, Sun City Center, Florida; Sun City, Arizona; Twin Lakes, Wisconsin; and most recently Sandwich, IL.
