Stanley Noyes Gaines, passed away on June 18, 2009, at his home in Martinsburg, WV, at the age of 48. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Stanley and his family crisscrossed the U.S. where he was dearly loved in every community.

He graduated from New Trier East High School and Loyola University in Chicago. Stanley was full of exuberance and creativity. His career started in Minneapolis in advertising and his passion and love for music inspired the founding of his Purple Dragon Recording Studio where he produced numerous gold and platinum records. He moved to Charleston, WV, where he was VP of Marketing at beBetter Networks. He is survived by the love of his life, Christina; three beloved children, Alexandra, Ashley and Stanley III.

Prairie Galesburg died at 2:34 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. He was born September 16, 1938 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Martha Jozwiak Machura. He married Nancy McNichols in Chicago in 1970. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Ann in 1983, two brothers, and one sister. He survived as an officer for three years in the US Navy. He worked as an insurance underwriter for 40 years, retiring in May 2002. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1956 and Dartmouth College in 1960.

He was a member of the St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Chicago. Tom enjoyed reading the history of World War II. He loved classical music, mainly Mahler. He walked three miles a day until he became ill.
