Goodman Herman A. Goodman, 76, a longtime Chicago Public Schools teacher from Northbrook, died Tuesdayin Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge after a long illness. Mr. Goodman was a teacher at several Chicago high schools, including Waller, Roosevelt, Von Steuben and Mather, where he was chairman of the music department He also was the former owner of Camp Cheyenne, a boys camp in Wisconsin. And he was the former cantor of Congregation Am Yisrael in Northfield.

Mr. Goodman is survived by three sisters, Ann Wolf, Esther Mossman and Edith Winkel. Services will be held at noon Thursday in Am Yisrael Congregation, 4 Happ North-field. i Kalman 'Kelly' Tanko Kalman "Kelly" Tanko, 84, of Scottsdale, died Monday in Westminster Retirement Village in Scottsdale. Mr.

Tanko, a native of Hungary, immigrated to the United States in 1911, and was a longtime resident of the Edgebrook neighborhood in Chicago until he moved to Scottsdale in 1985. In 1956, he founded Tanko Screw Products a machine parts company, in South Chicago and now located in Lynwood. He was chairman of the board until his retirement in 1984, and also sat on numerous boards of other corporations and charitable organizations.
