The victim, Fred Andres, 60 years old, 663 Arlington Henry J. Schlreson, so-called plastic surgeon, yesterday won a court fight to regain his license to practice medicine In Illinois. The license was taken from him In 1930 by the state department of registration and education on charges of malpractice resulting In permanent Injury to a patient. The Illinois Supreme court restored it yesterday on Schireson's appeal. Attorney Philip M.

Ringer, counsel for the medical board of the department, said that the ruling permit Schireson to resume the practice of medicine In this state immediately. The board, through Attorney General Kerner. can petition the Supreme court for a rehearing. Mr. Ringer said, but cannot prevent Schireson from practicing in the meantime.

He said that Schireson Is at present In Philadelphia. Case of Saclye Holland. The revocation of Schireson's license followed a hearing before the medical board. Charges were brought against Schireson by Miss Sadye Holland, 4910 Winthrop avenue. Miss Holland testified that she went to Schireson to have a scar on her arm removed and that he Induced her to have an operation to straighten her legs.

Complications after the operation necessitated amputation of botb legs. Miss Holland testified under an order of the Circuit court She had compromised a $40,000 suit against Schireson and In the compromise she signed an agreement not to appear In any legal proceedings against him. The court ordered her to testify In spite of this agreement. Schireson Leaves Chicago. After revocation of his license Schireson left Chicago.

He was reported to be practicing in Ohio, where, it was said, other actions were about to be brought against him. He returned to Chicago In 1932 and began the fight for reinstatement. In June of 1932 his attorneys filed a petition before the late Superior Judge Joseph Fitch for a writ of certiorari, which was in effect an appeal irom the decision of the department of registration and education. Judge Fitch denied the plea and sustained the revocation Last March Schireson brought his action in the State Supreme court. He contended that incompetent testimony was permitted at the hearing before the medical board, that Its members went outside of their Jurisdiction and erred in many rulings, and that a case had not been made against him.
