Last week Bauler, who is also Democratic ward committeeman, called in the precinct boys and told them about the picnic, to be held June 30 at Harms park, Berteau and Western avenues. Then he handed the boys batches of 40 cent admission tickets. It has bepn rumored that each of the 55 captains got $75 worth of tickets. All a Matter of Jobs. "That," said Paddy yesterday, "Is a lie.

It must have come from somebody who doesn't like me. The boys took tickets in proportion to the jobs city jobs they hold. Some got only complimentary tickets for the poor kids in their precincts." Asked about the rumor, that his organization would clear $15,000 on the picnic, Paddy ejaculated, "Say, I must have enemies to start stories like that."
