FA ENING Diplomas were awarded to 477 summer high school graduates last Thursday morning at exercises held in 11 schools thruout the city, marking the close of 1 he boa rd of education's eight rek summer course which was taken by 4,049 high school students. A radio address made by Supt. Johnson was heard by the graduates in their school auditoriums. Following his message to the students, the summer school principals awarded the diplomas.

Ilirsch High school had the largest graduating class with R. Graduates at the other schools were: Lake View, 39; Senn, 37; Lane, 52; Schurz, 25; Englewood. 26; Tilden, 46; Lindblom. 37; Morgan Park, 21; Austin, 53. and Crane, 53.

Paul Viezens, former residents of Englewood, last Wednesday observed their 60th wedding anniversary at their home in Antioch. Work on the street lighting program approved last Wednesday by the eity council will get under way this week.

The new lights are to be installed in communities which now are without electric street lighting. The program will tweet 25 wards, most of them in the outlying sections of the city.
