Woodman. John E. Woodman, 71, who was a newspaper advertising representative in Chicago for 25 years, died yesterday in the home of his brother, James M. Woodman, 317 Center Waukegan, where he was visiting. His home was in Dunedin, Fla.

He was born in Chicago and was associated with Lorenzen and Woodman, and later with Cone, Hun-toon Woodman, newspaper representatives. He moved to Florida in 1925. He is survived by his widow, Eleanor a daughter, Mrs. Jr. Funeral Monday.

4. 1919, as head of the press service, which he helped reorganize, and he remained as manager until retiring Oct. 6, 1935. He was born In Washburn, Woodford county, on July 1G, 1860. and became a reporter on the Teoria Transcript after graduation from high school.

He ramo lo Chirngo early in Ihe and operated a news service from the ottlce of the old Record-Herald. He retired to his plantation near Yazoo, in 1915 but a few years later returned to Chicago. He had an expert ear for plantation Negro dialect, which he memorialized In vrse that, appeared in The Si.npay TnmnNr. and in the-Line o' Type or Two for many years. Some of his poems were collected in a volume he called "Yazoo Valley Verse." He lived with his nephew, Edward Younger at 10429 Seeley av.

A sister, Mrs. Emma De Vault, lives In Los AngHes, Cat. The Rr-v. John Kvans, religion editor of The Trihunk, will conduct services at 2 p. m.

Staff Sgt. William J. Radmer, 38, operator of an army half-track with an armored division, died Monday in Battle Creek, after an operation, his widow, Elizabeth, 8029 42d Lyons, has been informed. Sgt. Radmer served with the nrmy two years and recently had bepn stationed at Camp Polk, La.
