Feb. 20 (tf) William Haggard, 61, a veteran newsman and the public information officer at White Sands missile range for nearly eight years, died Saturday at El Paso, the department of the army said today.

Haggard's news career included service with the Birmingham, Age-Herald, the New York World, International News Service, th'e Washington Post) the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the New York Mirror. Walter N. Dienes Services for Walter N. Dienes, 42, of 4637 feeacon a Chicago transit authority bus driver who was seriously wounded in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, will be held at 10 a. m.

tomorrow in Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ashland and Leland avenues. Mr. Dienes died Monday in Veterans Research hospital He was a navy signalman 3d class aboard the battleship Nevada, sunk in the Pearl Harbor attack. He was the first Pearl Harbor casualty to return to Chicago, and he was greeted by the late Mayor Edward J. Kelly and other civic officials.

Surviving are his widow, Ruth; two sons, Brian and Timothy, and his mother, Florence. Walter II. Williams Cleveland, Feb. 20 Spl. Walter H.

Williams, 81, retired president of the Clark Controller company, Cleveland, electrical equipment maker, died today in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He is sjirvived by his widow, Edna, and four daughters, Mrs. Martin Johnson, Mrs. Kevin O'Brien, June, and Lois Williams. Mass will be said Friday in Pompano Beach, Fla.

Maurice II. Ilartman Maurice H. Hartman, 49, of 4950 Marine died yesterday. He was midwest representative for Gardiner Shoe company. Surviving are his widow, Rhoda, and two brothers, Alfred Goraber and James.

GRAND JURY HEARS 3 COPS OF EVANSTON 'We Told the One Says Three Evanston policemen who were fired for going outside regular police channels without official permission in an attempt to expose alleged bribery charges against two police superiors signed immunity waivers and testified yesterday before the Cook county grand jury. The three are Elmer Jantho, Mathew L.

Rzepecki, and Lloyd W. Hintz. Jantho was before the jury 35 mintues, Rzepecki and Hintz 2Q minutes each. Robert Keyes to the demanding and accepting of a $900 bribe. Later, Cecala denied that he made such allegations. Officials Deny All Wroblewski and Keyes denied the charges. No action was taken against, them. Wroblewski, Keyes, and Cecala are among seven persons who will be questioned before the grand jury by Marvin Aspen, assistant state's attorney, today.

Others to be questioned today are Police Chief Hubert G. Kelsh; Cecala's mother, Mrs. Josephine Cecala, 5604 Capri lane, Morton Grove; Walter P.
