In a brief announcement, the air force reported a satellite employing a Thor-Agena booster was launched at about 5 p. m. Earlier, an Atlas rocket carrying a satellite exploded in flight after launch from nearby Point Arguello. Henry Leach Henry Leach, 56, of 956 Black president of the Tiger Wholesale Warehouse, Joliet, died yesterday in his home. A former resident of Chicago, Mr.

Leach was division credit manager for United States Gypsum company from 1928 to 1942. He served as a major in the army air force from 1942 to 1945, and from 1945 to 1953 was production manager of the former Chapman-and Smith company, Melrose Park. Surviving are his widow, Jean; a son, Paul a daughter, Julia; a sister. Mass will be said at 10:30 a. m.
