Di DIES AT AGE 56 Mrs. Amy Parsons, 56, the wife of Judge James B. Parsons of federal District court, died in Wesley Memorial hospital Saturday night. home is at 2801 South Park way. She was a former cashier at Provident hospital and former chief cashier for the Chicago housing authority.

Married in 1952 She was married to Parsons in 1952. In 1961 he was named a federal judge, the first Negro appointed to a lifetime post in the federal judiciary.
