Lipscomb of California at memorial services at Fourth Presbyterian church in Bethesda, Md. Washington, Feb. 3 (-President Nixon joined a large turnout of Congressmen, government officials, and friends today at a memorial service for the late Rep.

Glenard P. Lipscomb, who died Sunday of cancer. The Fourth Presbyterian church in suburban Bethesda, was filled to capacity, its altar banked with large bouquets of flowers. In the 40-minute service, Lipscomb was eulogized for his service to his country and for his personal traits of friendship, compassion, and humanity. Nixon, following the family and the flower-decked casket from the church, paused to give Lipscomb's widow words of condolence.

Putting his arm around her shoulder, the President chatted and was heard to remark of Lipscomb, "He had the best smile." lice sergeant; David, a fire department battalion chief; and Joseph, a fire department lieutenant; three sisters, Mrs. Della La de Mrs. Mary Clancy, and Alice. In 1923 he founded the Nieburger Chevrolet company in Chicago, South Shore district, and operated it until retiring in 1943.

CURTIN, 78, DIES; POLICE AWARD WINNER Michael J. Curtin, 78, of 2548 E. 78th a retired police lieutenant who compiled one of the police department's greatest records for bravery, died yesterday in Illinois Central hospital. Lt. Curtin retired from the old Stock Yards station in 1956 after 37 years on the police force, most of it spent in the detective bureau.

In the 1930s he was for a time a bodyguard for the late Mayor Edward J. Kelly. Wins Many Awards In his career he won 30 creditable mentions, 18 extra compensations, was twice awarded THE TRIBUNE'S police hero award, and won the Carter H. Harrison gold medal, and Lambert Tree awards for heroism. His first citation was in 1921, two years after he became a policeman, when he and two other policemen rescued three elderly women from a burning south side apartment.

In 1927, while, a sergeant, he shot and killed one of three robbers in a gun battle after he and another sergeant interrupted a south side tailor shop robbery. In 1940, he was shot four times by a gunman. As he lay on the sidewalk he drew his gun and shot the gunman, who was traced by a trail of blood and seized the next day. Survivors are Listed Surviving are his widow, Irene; two sons, John and Michael a daughter, Patricia; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Thomas, retired police captain; William, retired po- Bertrand Russell MRS.

NETCHER, LAST OF DOLLY SISTERS, DIES Roszika Dolly Netcher, 77, the last of the famed dancing Dolly Sisters and widow of Irving Netcher, vice president of the former Boston Store of Chicago, died Sunday in New York City. Mrs. Netcher, whose stage name was Rosie, and her identical twin, Yansci an internationally famous dance team from 1911 to 1927, appearing in musical the Ziegfeld comedies Fol- in America and Europe. Yansci Dolly was found hanged in her Hollywood apartment in June, 1941. Rosie Dolly and Netcher were married in 1932 by James J.
