Euclid Av. Stepney, who attended the Chicago Musical College and began his career as a vibra-phonist for Eddie Harris, produced records for jazz artists Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and the Dells. He wrote a number of songs, arranged musical scores for pianist Ramsey Lewis, singer Minnie Riperton and the Rotary Connection, and made radio and television commercials. Survivors include his widow, Ruby; and three daughters, Eibur, Charlene, and Chante. Funeral arrangements are pending.

John J. Flynn Mass for John J. Flynn, 73, of 410 Ashland River Forest, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke's Catholic Church, 528 Lathrop River Forest.

Mr. Flynn died Monday in West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park. He was an executive with Wilson Sporting Goods from 1933 until 1960 when he left to open the Springer Stationery Store, 148 N. Oak Park which he operated until 1972 when he retired. Survivors include his widow, Katherine; two sons, John F.

and Thomas eight grandchildren; and a brother. Mrs. Nason Perry Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie B. Perry, 86, mother-in-law of Evanston School Supt.

Joseph E. Hill, will be at 8 p. m. Friday in the chapel at 4114 S. Michigan Av.

Mrs. Perry, a former music teacher at Southern University in Baton Rouge, died Saturday in Baton Rouge while visiting another daughter. Since her retirement, she had been living in the Chicago area. Survivors include her husband, Nason; three daughters, Mrs. Janet P.

4331 Elslon Edward Warden Mass for Edward Warden, 66, retired assistant general counsel of the Chicago North Western Transportation will be at 10 a. m. Thursday in St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 S. Washington Park Ridge.

Mr. Warden, a Park Ridge resident, died Monday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was employed by the railroad from 1942 until his retirement in 1974. Survivors include his widow, Elf two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Furcon and Christine; and three grandchildren.

Joseph A. Riclter Mass for Joseph A. Ricker, 84, a retired lawyer, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 9235 S. Hamilton Av.

Mr. Ricker, a longtime Southwest Side resident, died Monday in Mercy Hospital. He was a World War I veteran and retired in 1966 after 30 years as counsel of the Chicago Flat Janitors Union, Survivors include a son, J. William; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Kerns; five grandchildren; and a sister.

Helen Kilkenny Mass for Helen Kilkenny, 70, of 1400 N. Lake Shore will be at 11 a. m. Thursday in St. Andrew's Church, Dela-van, Wis.

Miss Kilkenny, who died Monday at Mercy Hospital, was a former secretary. She is survived by a brother. Sister Thone Sandland Sister Thone Sandland, 93, a Lutheran missionary to China for 35 years, died Tuesday at the Lutheran Deaconess Home, Park Ridge. Sister Thone also worked for the Lutheran Family Welfare Service in Chicago until her retirement in 1968. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
