Mr. Sines was a police magistrate in Lombard from 1941 to 1945. After graduation from high school, Mr. Robinson joined the Army at Ft. Warren, and played in National Amateur Athletic Union tournaments in Denver. After the war ended, he played with the Globetrotters for 14 years, "when they were very strong' said Douglas.

Mr. Robinson also coached an Oakland team that Globetrotters owner Abe Saperstein started. In addition to his mother and brother, Arnie, he is survived by two brothers, Ivan and Joe; a sister, Birdie Mae Harrison; a son; and two SAN DIEGO (AP) Ermer Robinson, who joined the original Harlem Globetrotters comedy basketball team at the end of World War II, has died after a long bout with cancer of the larynx, his friends and family said Friday. His family said he was 59 or 60 years old. Mr.

Robinson died Wednesday at the home he shared with his mother, Mary E. Miller. He was released from the hospital several months ago after surgery on his larynx, said his brother, Arnie. "He wasn't able to talk, but when I visited him he wrote things," said Merrill Douglas, who coached Mr. Robinson at San Diego High School.

"He was in good spirits." "HE WAS A FORWARD and a guard," Douglas said. "He was kind of a straight man with the Globetrot consultant in Lombard and Chicago. will be at 10 day in Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood. She was 59. Mrs.

Tuesday in the chapel at 1100 Greenleaf Wilmette. Mrs. Elmer, a former long-time Evanston resident, died Thursday in Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. Her late husband, Edwin, was president of Elmer Construction Co. of Chicago.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Russell a daughter, Barbara Rothschild; nine grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Genevieve Mass for Genevieve Kilmartin, 71, a former Chicago advertising executive, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, 23 E.

Van Buren St. Miss Kilmartin died Friday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She began her business career at the Chicago American, working for Hearst Advertising Service. For 20 years, until she retired in 1980, she worked in the purchasing department of Hart Scnaffner Marx. Ermer Robinson daughters, all of San Diego.

Funeral arrangements are to be made Monday. In 1968 he retired to Ottawa, where he took up tree farming. He was given the distinguished alumnus award from Ferris State College, Big Rapids, in 1971, and an honorary doctor of laws degree from John Marshall Law School. He was a veteran of the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Vida; 2 sons, Louis and Frederick; 2 daughters, Wanda Hepler and Patricia Burke; 17 grandchildren; and 8 greatgrandchildren.

Lynne Borst Services for Lynne Borst, 68, a contemporary impressionist painter, will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Covenant United Methodist Church, 2525 Har-trey Evanston. Mrs. Borst died Luke Catholic Church, River Forest. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Joseph 5 daughters, Susan, Barbara, Katherine Vincent, Jeanne Welsh and Mary Anne Ball; 10 grandchildren; and a sister.

Edgar E. Webster III A memorial service for Edgar E. Webster III, 62, will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, Wheaton. Mr.

Webster, a Wheaton resident, died Friday night in Central Du Page Hospital, Win-field. He was president of Webster Associates Wheaton, a land surveying firm. He also was past president of the Illinois Land Surveyers W. Kruse; was professor at Concordia College Association and was on the board ot Friday at her Evanston home follow ing a brief illness. She studied art at governors of FOR MANY years he was active in charity groups in River Forest and was the former chairman of the River Forest Community Chest.

He also was a former assistant pastor at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, River Forest. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 7300 Division St. Survivors include his wife, Natalie; four daughters, Margaret, Elaine Kuehn, Katherine Neer and Roberta Gillespie; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters. WILFRED F.

Kruse, former chairman of the mathematics and science department at Concordia College in River Forest, died Saturday at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. He was 82. Born in Hastings, Mr. Kruse began his teaching career in 1938 in Nebraska. He taught both mathematics and science.

He retired from the River Forest college in 1974. He received a master's degree from the University of Nebraska in 1935 and a doctorate in 1962 from Concordia College in Seward, Neb. Berenau College, Atlanta, Art Students League and York School of Art in New and the the New York. She tal. Survivors include his wife, Max-ine; a son, Edgar IV; three daughters, Christine Cowern, Laurel Whiting and Meredith; a grandchild; three brothers; and two sisters.
