Info, 312-764-1617 HERBENER Otto Berthold Herbener, retired General Superintendent of Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company's South Chicago Works, passed away Mar. 24, 1993, at the age of 92 years.

He had retired and lived in Tacoma, WA, since 1963. Born in Mayville, WI, Nov. 11, 1900, he was the sixth of 10 children born to Pastor Konrad and Lena Herbener. All of his family preceded him in death. He and Elsbeth Mueller were married on July 11, 1928, and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversay last year.

The couple have two children, Ruth Daughertry of Tacoma WA and Bishop Mark Herbener of Dallas TX. There are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom survive. An active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Parkland, Herbener had been a member of the choir well into his 80's. For a significant number of years he had conducted a Senior Citizens Bible Class in that church. He had previously served as president of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chicago and Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond, IN.

Milton Lee Olive III, who was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously during the Vietnam War, died Monday in South Chicago Community Hospital. Milton B. Olive was a retired social worker for the Chicago Human Resources Department, now called the Department of Human Services. He was a native of Lexington, and came to Chicago when he was 17. Before working for the city, he worked for General Motors' Electro-Motive Division in La Grange for 15 years.
